PMT Tyres Yesterday

As it often happens with companies in this business, PTM also was born from the passion for model cars.

In the '80s, the young Alessandro Pauselli, advised by his dad Umbro, slowly starts to play with model cars.The youngster learned the driving techniques quickly and showed to be a very talented driver.
Alessandro improved his driving abilities in such a way that he partecipated in the Lazio Region championship and won the junior category.

He became so enthusiastic that he then partecipated in the italian championship and took the seventh place.
PTM, however, grew from the professional ability of dad Umbro who decided to make his own tyres, as his son was consuming them in a large quantities.
This is how the research of finding the most suitable compounds for the development of the first foam tyres began. The good results obtained together with the positive feedback from other drivers partecipating in races, sproned dad Umbro to continue the research in order to produce real tyres with conventional vulcanised rubber.
The work, undertaken for making tyres for personal use only, now became an industrial reality for PTM and the production activity slowly grew.

Officially started in 1990, PMT continuously improved in the areas of research, production and as a consequence their results in national and international competitions and sales.The name of PMT now became a reality in the world of tyres for model cars.
During that period, the first Mini-bikes started to appear in Italy imported from Japan by Vittoriano Orazi, an historic name in modelling, whom we remember with affection and sympathy. It was Vittorio who asked PMT to evaluate the feasibility of producing tyres for mini-bikes.

Umbro Pauselli, loving new challenges, decided to accept also this one.
Born as a small family organization, today PMT employs a large number of people and became a consolidated company also thanks to the dedication and professionality of these employees.

Having achieved victories in all categories and established the success of their products thanks to experience, continuous research, capital investments and a lot of dedication, PMT can rightly claim to be LEADER in manufacturing of model cars and mini-bike tyres.
